    About The Ceramic:

'Chope Visage' translates to 'Face mug.' When Picasso uses lines and mark-making to accentuate the traditional forms of the pottery, a kind of poetry emerges that elevates the object beyond its function. His sparingly placed blue lines create an innocent yet playful expression, while the woman’s eyes, nose, and lips add a playful sense of identity to the objet d'art.

    About The Technique:

'Chope Visage' is crafted from white earthenware clay and decorated with colored engobe and glaze. The underside of the ceramic is marked with the edition Picasso and Madoura stamps, indicating it's authenticity. Our example of 'Chope Visage' is numbered 232/300.
