Pablo Picasso’s ‘Profile de Jacqueline’ ceramic plaque depicts Picasso’s final and most prominent muse, Jacqueline Roque. Jacqueline worked in a sales position at the Madoura Pottery in the South of France when she first met Picasso in 1952. The two forged a relationship that would last until Picasso’s death in 1973. Over their 20+ year relationship, Jacqueline would appear over 400 times in Picasso’s two dimensional work and many times over in his ceramic oeuvre. ‘Profile de Jacqueline’ measures 8 inches in diameter and was produced in a limited edition of 500 in 1956.
